Reġjun Punent is composed of ten Local Councils – L-Imdina, Ħaż-Żebbuġ (Citta Rohan), Is-Siġġiewi (Citta’ Ferdinand), Ħad-Dingli, Ħal Kirkop, Imqabba, Qrendi, Rabat, Safi and Żurrieq.

The Regional Council is composed of the mayors of each locality. It is presided over by the President, Mr. Sandro Azzopardi, and Mr. David Michael Schembri is the Vice President.

The Regional Council’s Administrative Offices are situated in Tal-Virtu, r-Rabat.
